TECHNICAL INFORMATION
CityPro Communications takes pride in their quest for technical excellence.
To help you work more efficiently and increase your knowledge,
CityPro has provided some technical documents that are commonly
referred to in the interconnection industry.
CityPro strongly believes in providing the customer with the system that
fits their communication needs. To properly fit the customer with the
correct system, there are three steps that need to be followed.
Needs Analysis Stage. A needs analysis is a critical stage that allows
the customer to express the manner in which their business communicates, or why
they need new telecommunication products. The needs analysis is performed
by the customer in conjunction with a telecommunication consultant or a
vendor. This needs analysis allows for Stage 2-The Request for quote (RFQ).
Request for Quote Stage. Once a needs analysis has been completed A
Request for Quote (RFQ) is written. The RFQ is a structured document that
summarizes the findings of the needs analysis. The RFQ allows vendors to
give their pricing on all components of a new telecommunications system.
This document is prepared by a consultant or the customer, and sent to
applicable vendors. Vendors are now able to bid only on the components
needed by the customer.
Evaluation of the RFQ by the customer or the consultant is the next stage in
the process. Based on reliability, serviceability, components and price,
a vendor and communications system will be chosen.
